Pre and Post Thanksgiving Smoothies

Holidays are around the corner and it seems that we are prone to gain a pound or two a lot easier when we attain a certain age. In order to stay in shape, we suggest that you cleanse your system after you indulge in nutritional sins.

Therefore, we are excited to offer you a couple of recipes for Thanksgiving. One before the feast (so all the goodness of Moringa compete with all those carbs for absorption), and a second one to have first thing in the morning the next day.

Orange Gingerbread

Ingredients:

1 handful of Spinach or baby kale

1 Generous tablespoon of Moringa

1 orange - peeled and seeded

1/2 inch ginger - peeled

1 tbsp raisins

1 teaspoon stevia

1/2 cup water

1 cup ice

Add all ingredients to the blender, pour, and enjoy!

After - Holiday Cleanser Smoothie

Ingredients:

3 cups water

Juice of 1 lemon

1-inch piece of ginger

4-inch piece of cucumber

¼ cup mint

1-2 handfuls ice

Add 1 cup of water, the lemon juice, ginger, cucumber, and mint to the blender. Blend.
Lastly, add 2 cups of water and ice and blend again.
You can also decorate with a few mint leaves in your glass.
